GROUND
For the woman who used to know what she wanted — and wants to find her way back to it.
Ground is a step-by-step process for remembering who you are.
When you have lost track.
There is a version of your life that looks right on paper.
Where your work is good. Your relationships are stable.
A version where you have created a real fine life for yourself.
When people ask how it is going, you can list the reasons you should be satisfied.
And still — most days — you feel out of sync with it.
You wake up and something is off. You cannot name it. You keep waiting for the feeling to pass.
It doesn't.
You ask yourself: Is this it?
And underneath it, the harder question:
Was this even what I wanted?
WHAT HAS HAPPENED?
Somewhere along the way, you stopped hearing yourself.
Not all at once. Slowly. In the years of doing what was expected. In the roles you took because they made sense.
In the yes’es you gave to what other people needed from you. In the small, steady work of building a life that would work.
It worked. That is the strange part.
And in the working of it, the version of you who knew what she wanted — who was clear about what made her feel alive — got harder and harder to hear.
You are not lost. You are not broken. You have not failed.
You have been building for a long time — and you built well. You just built for someone else's idea of what a good life looks like, and forgot to check whether it was yours.
WHY THE USUAL ADVICE DOESN’T HELP
You don't need to find yourself. You need to remember yourself.
You have probably tried some things.
Journaling, but it goes in circles.
Coaching, but it starts with what do you want next — which is exactly the question you cannot answer.
Books, but they speak to a woman who does not yet know what she has built.
You have built an entire life for yourself. That is the point.
The question is not what to do next. The question is what has been true about you all along — that you have been overriding, or forgetting, or setting aside — so the life you built for yourself could work.
That is a different problem. And it needs a different kind of help.
WHAT GROUND IS
A step-by-step process for remembering yourself.
Ground is not a course. Not a program to fix you. Not a plan for what to do next.
It is a carefully designed process — built with women who have lived through this exact moment — for sitting down with the questions, you stopped letting yourself ask.
What actually gives you energy — not what you tell people gives you energy.
What used to make you feel alive — before you became who you are now.
What you value — actually, not on paper.
What you have always loved devoting yourself to — and whether it is still there, waiting.
Ground does not ask you to decide anything. It does not ask you to blow up your life. It does not ask you to know what to do next.
It just asks you to remember.
Four exercises. Guided in Helene's voice. Worked through by hand.
I.
What You're Made Of
A personal map of what gives you energy and what drains it. Four lenses — aliveness, longing, friction, counterforces. Written slowly. Nothing to solve.
II.
Your Values Compass
Sixteen values, honestly scored. Which are actually yours. Which have you inherited without noticing. Which have you been overriding because they complicate a life that looks right on paper.
III.
Mapping Your Drive
What have you always loved to give yourself to? What keeps showing up in every version of your life — even when you try to move on from it? This exercise helps you see it, and see whether it is still the thing you are actually looking for.
IV.
The Integration
Six questions that bring it all together. What is undeniably true about you now. What you have been overriding. What subtly changes if you trust your own signals more than external expectations.
At the end, you have your own inner reference point — named in your own words.
WHAT IS INSIDE
WHAT GROUND ISN’T
Not a plan. Not a pivot. Not a rebuild.
It is not therapy.
It is not coaching.
It is not a productivity system.
It is not a plan for what to do next.
It is not about becoming someone new.
Ground assumes that the person you are looking for is already in you.
The work is not to become her.
It is to hear her again — clearly enough that you can begin to trust her.
HOW IT WORKS
A room to think. A notebook. Your own pace.
Ground is a self-paced audio process, guided by Helene's voice, worked through with a notebook and pen.
Something about the hand moving across a page that the work depends on.
You will need somewhere you will not be interrupted.
A few evenings, or a few Sunday mornings, depending on the shape of your week.
Between three and five hours of work in total — but there is no deadline. The material is yours to keep. You can return to it any time life asks you to.
Some women move through it in a week. Others over two months. Both are the right pace.
I built Ground because I needed it.
I spent years being the woman who had it figured out. Career, capability, the right decisions in the right order. And then I noticed that the life I had created for myself no longer fit in so many ways— it wasn’t very dramatic, but this realization hit me in a way I could no longer ignore.
I did not have a name for what was happening.
I read everything I could find. I sat with it. An idea popped into my mind that there ought to be a way to navigate this like we step over other thresholds. So, I built a method — first for myself, then with a small group of women who shared their own experience of standing in the same place.
Ground is what I wish someone had given me when I first started asking is this it? — before I felt ready for anything bigger.
